The Kansas City Lightning expansion team will be added next season to the Southern Conference. There is a unique aspect to the Lightning because they will share the region with the St. Louis Sentinels. Therefore, they can recruit players from Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas and Nebraska. Because the Sentinels and Lightning are in separate conferences, they won’t be competing against each other in the regular season. However, we are looking forward to seeing how the squads compare as they compete for talent in the same region.
We don’t have a captain in place for KC yet. With the Sentinels coming in 2nd in the North American Championship and Impulsion as team captain, the new Lightning captain will have to work hard to assemble a competitive team.
