Launch of the PCC Prelims

We are set for the inaugural Professional Battle League® (PBL), Pacific Coast Championship (PCC). While there have been a ton of details to work out, we now have a solid preliminary stage event for the PCC. On Sunday, February 28th, we will launch the nine-week preliminary stage in 6 Microsoft stores on the west coast. While the most important reason for the preliminary stage is to give local players a chance to meet, we also are going to be using the time to make sure that all the systems are in place to ensure a smooth PCC tournament.

We will be in the following stores starting at 1pm and ending at 6pm:

Portland, Pioneer Place

For the Bellevue, WA area we are collaborating with the Bellevue Microsoft store and the Impact Hub of Bellevue as a continuation of National Entrepreneurship Week. The Impact Hub is a premier share work space for entrepreneurs. We will be set up in their Bellevue location:

Impact Hub Be

555 116th Ave NE, Suite 242 Bellevue, WA. 98004

On Sunday, April 3rd we will be in the Microsoft Stores again. On that day we will add the San Francisco and Costa Mesa stores as locations. On May 1st we will launch the official Pacific Coast Championship matches. There is just something about representing your home region that adds a special feel to any competition. We are looking forward to bringing regional rivalry to eSports and could not think of a better game than Halo to build local teams around.

All the Microsoft stores have generously supplied portable gaming units made by GAEMS (gaemspge.com). You can bring your own controller if you want. The units will be set up and ready to go for you to jump into the action. It will also be a great time to bring someone you know who is curious about Halo but hasn’t had a chance to check the game out.

The PCC preliminary stage launch event will start out with some time for in-store competition. We want to give time for people to get to know other players in their area. After the local play is concluded, we will have a store vs store competition to compare your area’s Halo skills to those in other west coast cities. After the store vs store matches, we will have NorCal vs. SoCal and Portland vs Seattle. The event will wrap up with a California vs Northwest battle. We will be casting throughout the evening on twitch.tv/probattleleague.

We are very excited to bring regional Halo play to the west. There are definitely opportunities to get involved and help with the PBL. For more details on getting involved in your region, email us at info@battleleague.com.
